We are aware that there have been issues recently in relation to lengthy wait times for appointments and we are working to try and rectify this situation.
One potential issue that may have an impact on this is the number of appointments missed (not attended) by patients. We have been undertaking an audit of appointments that have not been attended recently and have come up with some shocking figures. Since April 2015 there have been a staggering 429 appointments missed by patients. This equates to roughly 70 missed appointments per month which is really unacceptable.
As a practice we understand that occasionally people are unable to attend appointments. If you are unable to attend an appointment, please inform the practice so we can offer this slot to someone who really needs it.
