About Us at Kings Lane Medical Practice

GP registrar

We recently were appointed as a training practice. This means that we have a fully qualified doctor attached to our practice who is learning how to be a General Practitioner. This doctor, known as a registrar is fully supervised at all times and is encouraged to seek help from the partners when required. Sometimes patients are asked if they will allow their consultations to be videotaped. These are only watched by doctors involved in the training of the registrar and are an extremely useful educational resource. Consent is always sought before hand. We all appreciate your cooperation in these consultations.
If you need to have blood taken, you can make an appointment on Wednesday morning at the surgery. You can also attend the walk in centre at Arrowe Park hospital, Clatterbridge hospital or one of our partner practices in Bebington - please contact our receptionist for details.

The Electronic Health record (EHR)is a computer based system adopted by the NHS organisations on the Wirral. This system has been at leading edge of computer developements in the country. It stores your medical record electronically which allows doctors and other health professionals to access to up to date information about you and your health. This could be vital for your treatment by another health care provider such as the A&E department.

If you have any comments or queries about the EHR please contact the Patient Advice Liaison service (PALS) on free phone 0800 085 1547 or at Wirral Health website http://www.wirralhealth.org.uk/ehr
